The Honorable _____________
(Position) State Representative, State Senator
State House, Room ________

Boston, MA 02133

Dear Representative (or Senator) (Name)______________________:

As a resident of (Your Town), MA  I am writing to request you SUPPORT legislation for Oral Health Equity related to medically related dental care coverage, similar to the 193rd Massachusetts Congressional, House bill 1094, an act expanding coverage of dental procedures currently in the Joint Committee on Health Care Financing, 193rd Session of Massachusetts Legislators.  Massachusetts has the opportunity to be one of the country's leaders with this important healthcare legislation!

Top hospitals, organizations, and physicians have joined together with Massachusetts Oncology Patients, Survivors, and Supporters (MOPSS) to advocate support for head and neck cancer survivors including the Massachusetts Dental Society, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Mass General Brigham, Massachusetts Society of Clinical Oncologists, and more!

People with head & neck cancer are often confronted with unique, acute, and long-term hurdles due to their diagnosis which includes complex, multi-stage dental treatments. Often, insurance is insufficient to cover thousands of dollars of necessary medical procedures and prosthetics. MOPSS envisions a time when insurance companies doing business in the Commonwealth of MA will recognize and cover all necessary medical, dental, surgical, oral prosthetics, and dental prosthetics required by head and neck cancer survivors.

I urge you to SUPPORT oral health equity legislation. Thank you very much for your consideration and valuable time.

Sincerely,
(Your Name)
